G-SHOCK x EVANGELION: 30 Years in the Making

For three decades, Neon Genesis Evangelion has defined an era of storytelling, design, and cult fandom. Now, G-SHOCK marks the anime’s 30th anniversary with one of its most significant collaborations to date — the GA110EVA30-7A.

Created in partnership with Ikuto Yamashita, the mechanical designer responsible for the Evangelion universe’s legendary mecha, this model isn’t just a nod to nostalgia. It’s a statement piece born from precision and cultural reverence.
Based on the GA-110 — the same model used in the first G-SHOCK x Evangelion collaboration back in 2010 — the GA110EVA30-7A pushes the boundaries of what a collaboration watch can be.

Every surface has been considered. The bezel mirrors the head of EVA Unit-01, while the short band captures its horn. The long band shows the left arm gripping the Spear of Longinus mid-throw — a pose frozen in time through advanced resin processing. Inside, the inset dial hand at 9 o’clock pays tribute to the Third Angel, Sachiel, while the Y-shaped dial divider carries Evangelion’s unmistakable “CAUTION” pattern.

For collectors, this model sits at the intersection of storytelling and engineering — a perfect expression of G-SHOCK’s legacy within collector culture. From sneakerheads to streetwear archivists, G-SHOCKs have long been a cornerstone of limited-edition collecting, with collaborations spanning fashion, music, art, and anime.
The GA110EVA30-7A joins that elite lineage, fusing deep Japanese craftsmanship with pop-cultural mythology.

Finished with the “NEON GENESIS” band loop, the NERV logo on the tip, and a commemorative 30th anniversary engraving on the case back, this release transcends fandom.

The GA110EVA30-7A will be available from 10.00AM AEDT on Tuesday, 28 October 2025, through shopcasio.shriro.com.au and selected retail partners.

A collaboration 30 years in the making — built tough, built with purpose, and destined to sell out fast.

Designed by Ikuto Yamashita

This special edition was designed by Ikuto Yamashita, the mechanical designer behind the EVANGELION series. For this special collaboration, Yamashita created original artwork that captures the intensity of the series’ immersive world.

EVA Unit-01 X GA-110

The GA-110, also used in the first EVANGELION collaboration in 2010, serves as the base model. EVA Unit-01, the central figure of the series, appears throughout the design: its horned headgear on the short band, its face on the bezel, and its right arm gripping the Spear of Longinus — just before the throw — extending from the lower bezel to the long band. Casio’s advanced surface finishing techniques faithfully reproduce Yamashita’s detailed artwork.

Inset Dial inspired by the 3rd Angel, Sachiel

The watch face includes even more references for fans to appreciate. The inset dial indicator at 9 o’clock is inspired by the 3rd Angel, Sachiel. A bold Y-shaped part on the dial echoes the CAUTION pattern seen throughout the series. Other details include “NEON GENESIS” on the band loop, the NERV logo at the tip of the band, and a 30th anniversary emblem engraved on the case back.
