The AE-1200 features a digital face inspired by instrument panels. The design elements — an analog-style LCD that displays time with digital hands and a world map display — trace their roots back to watches released in the 1980s. To support its multifunction digital interface, the AE-1200 employs an LCD with 248 segments, made possible by precision module design and advanced manufacturing techniques capable of managing complex circuitry with reliable accuracy.

The evolving legacy of multi-display design

In the mid-1980s, the “Twin Graph” AE-200 introduced the analog-style LCD, while the W-50U featured world time with a world map display. Building on the signature features of these two models, the AE-1200 was born — a digital timepiece defined by its distinctive multifunction display.

Classy & Rugged

I love this model of the Casio collection. It's classy look with a touch of old fashioned ruggedness. It has some pretty good features which is on par with prrsent times. Oh and the backlight is awesome. This watch takes me back to the gpod old 80s & 90s.
