CASIO keyboard origins

Say Hello to the New Casiotone

Casio's Vocal Synthesis technology (found in the CT-S1000V) generates real-time sung vocals by combining PCM-based vocal tones with machine-learning-driven articulation, letting players program lyrics via the Lyric Creator app in either Note Mode (lyrics advance per keystroke) or Phrase Mode (automatic progression), adjust vocal traits like vibrato, age, and choose from 22 preset Vocalists, or build custom vocals from audio samples — what Casio calls its biggest sound-generation leap since PCM.

Feel at One with the Music

Casiotone Today – A Perfect Combination of Tradition and Technology

Every Casiotone keyboard is built around Casio's proprietary AiX Sound Source, a custom sound-generation engine that delivers rich, realistic acoustic and electronic tones from a compact, portable instrument. The line pairs this with a Horizontal Bass-Reflex speaker system for surprisingly powerful sound from a slim cabinet, a versatile DSP effects chain for shaping your tone in real time, and Bluetooth MIDI and audio connectivity for wireless play with apps and other devices — all wrapped in an intuitive, beginner-friendly interface that scales from entry-level models right up to the CT-S1000V, Casio's vocal synthesis keyboard.

Distinctive Tones Expand the Possibilities of Expression

ADVANCED TONES are sonic gems cut using Casio’s advanced technology. A range of acoustic and vintage instruments that feature on countless classic recordings have been modeled to create tones that showcase the power of Casio’s AiX Sound Source. In addition to classic instruments, the Advanced Tones collection includes original sounds that change in a variety of ways depending on how you play, giving you new expressive possibilities.

“Sharing the Joy of Making Music with Everyone” Casio’s Philosophy Realised Through Innovation

Casio launched the original Casiotone 201 in 1980 around the philosophy of "sharing the joy of making music with everyone," and over the following four decades the line grew from that compact 29-tone keyboard into a much broader family spanning sampling technology (SK-1), synthesisers (CZ-101), and today's portable keyboards with advanced sound engines, with milestones along the way like the reggae-influenced MT-40 and the introduction of the Key Lighting system for beginners, a heritage that current models like the CT-S1 and CT-S1000V continue to carry forward.
