Sound & Touch, Reimagined

The grand piano, with its large body and intricate structure, generates a rich and delicate resonant sound. CELVIANO meticulously explores this resonance through Casio's unique sound source technology. It captures the nuances of playing, expressing resonances based on your touch, achieving elongated harmonics, and delivering a vivid, well-balanced sound. This extends to complex tonal changes influenced by variations in the force applied to the keys and the passage of time, faithfully reflecting the subtle nuances of the performer and creating the rich expressiveness distinctive to grand pianos. Embedded in the AP-750 are three grand piano tones cherished by musicians worldwide: Berlin Grand, Hamburg Grand, and Vienna Grand, including C. Bechstein. To convey the enchanting beauty of these tones, Casio employs the "AiR Grand Sound Source," featured in the flagship CELVIANO Grand Hybrid Series. The AP-550 and AP-S450 also incorporate two beautiful grand piano tones using the "Multi-Dimensional Morphing AiR Sound Source." Additionally, the AP-300 and AP-S200 are also equipped with the same "Multi-Dimensional Morphing AiR Sound Source" that features one grand piano tone. From delicate touches that are like taking a breath to dynamic and powerful expressions that convey the player's emotions, these instruments offer a natural, beautiful, and delightful grand piano playing experience.

A Diverse Palette of Piano Tones Depicting Timeless Traditions

The CELVIANO AP series incorporates a wide range of tones, including various acoustic pianos, electric pianos, organs, and strings beloved across eras. The AP-750 offers the enjoyment of three grand piano tones—Berlin Grand, Hamburg Grand, and Vienna Grand—cherished by renowned musicians throughout the extensive history of piano performance. The sound of the Berlin Grand in particular, was developed in collaboration with the world renowned piano brand C. Bechstein, You can fully savour the C. Bechstein sound, characterised by elegant colour tones and the transparency of each note. Additionally, it features 10 “Classical Piano Repertoire” dedicated tones, allowing you to immerse yourself in the diverse world of classical piano compositions. These tones are meticulously crafted by analysing the nuances and characteristics specific to different styles and genres of classical piano pieces, providing an accessible and enjoyable way to experience the versatility of classical pianos. Furthermore, the AP-550 and AP-S450 also include two grand piano tones that inherit the essence of historical masterpieces. With a variety of tones at your disposal, you can freely explore the world of piano playing performance based on your desired songs, genres, playing styles, or moods. The AP-300 and AP-S200 inherit one beautiful grand piano tone from the higher-end models..

Immerse Yourself in a Vivid Acoustic Space, Embracing the Natural Resonance of the Entire Instrument

Instead of merely hearing the sound from the speakers, you can feel the delicate overtones and expansiveness as if the grand piano were right in front of you. By ensuring that sound from the speaker can pass through various parts of the main unit, sound from the speakers disperses to the outside, Casio has created a unique acoustic mechanism that produces sound which makes the entire instrument resonate, similar to that of a grand piano.

The AP-750 features a distinctive "Grandphonic Sound System," a 4-channel 8-speaker configuration. By carefully reproducing the resonance of a grand piano and ingeniously dispersing the elements of sound, it achieves a natural and immersive resonance, making it feel like the entire instrument is ringing. Incorporating a 2-channel 4-speaker system, the AP-550 also employs thoughtful design to ensure the sound naturally expands. The AP-300 is equipped with a 2-channel 2-speaker system that follows the principal ethos from the higher-end models and enables the natural expansion of sound. Both the AP-750, AP-550, and AP-300 feature a construction unique to Casio, allowing the top board to be opened, which enables performances with a bright, expansive sound reminiscent of opening the large lid of a grand piano. The slim AP-S450 is equipped with a 2-channel 4-speaker system, with two main speakers that face upward. The design of the speaker case and stand allows the sound to easily disperse, providing an unprecedented level of expansive resonance. Whereas, the AP-S200 features a 2-channel 2-speaker system. It inherits the same upward-facing speakers and structure of the speaker case and stand from the AP-S450, achieving excellent sound dispersion and delivering a similarly expansive resonance. Moreover, all models undergo sound processing that ensures a natural, expansive quality even when listened to through headphones.

  • AP-300

This digital piano allows you to experience the natural touch and realistic sound of a grand piano with modern, cutting-edge technology. It provides a fresh and innovation piano experience perfect for learners and beginners.

    Acoustic Design

In order to replicate the authentic, natural sound of a grand piano, the AP-300 uses the same fundamental ideas as Casio’s top tier Grandphonic Sound System. The sound is intended to spread out from the speakers and bounce off strategically positioned elements inside the cabinet, producing an immersive and engaging auditory experience.

    Sound Source

The expressive power of a grand piano is produced by the Multi-dimensional Morphing AiR Sound Source, which tones vary based on the player’s manner and the passage of time. This records every nuance of the sound, including variations in tone and volume, from the time it is played until it ends. This sound source replicates a classic grand piano’s rich, beautiful tone with accuracy.

    Smart Scaled Hammer Action

The grand piano authentic touch and experience is captured by the Smart Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard feature. The action mechanism, which is dependent on the hammers’ weight, modifies the touch sensitivity in response to the force with which the keys are struck. Because each keyboard’s key reaction is meticulously designed and digitally generated, playing is extremely realistic.
