Based on an urban sports concept, the GBA-950 — offered in a lineup of three models — offers smooth, comfortable support for daily training. Featuring a streamlined design with an integrated bezel and band, these watches come with a newly developed band form made with “origami engineering” techniques to provide an extremely comfortable fit. A range of functions useful for training and health management is included as well. The function and design are optimised to complement active daily life.

Integrated bezel and band: Streamlined design with a highly comfortable fit

The bezel and band are seamlessly moulded into a single exterior piece, providing robust protection for the carbon fibre-reinforced resin case. The band construction, designed for maximum flex, delivers an even more comfortable fit on the wrist. Additionally, the adhesive glass attachment allows for a more compact lug design, enhancing the sharp silhouette from the bezel to the band.

Band delivering next-level comfort: Designed with “origami engineering” technologies

The new band design was developed in collaboration with OUTSENSE inc., a leader in the field of “origami engineering.” The band applies insights derived from the art of paper-folding to deliver an exceptionally comfortable fit. The base sections of the band feature precisely analysed mountain and valley fold angles. When the band is tightened around the wrist, these folds cause the sides to pull outward to the left and right, ensuring a snug fit of case against wrist on the underside of the band’s wave-shaped base.

Combination dial set off with phosphorescent indexes

Displaying the time and various measurements, the analog-digital combination dial features phosphorescent indexes. The use of resin imbued with phosphorescent material, with phosphorescent printing further applied to the top surfaces, gives all the dimensional indexes a vivid glow in the dark. Phosphorescent accents are applied to the hour and minute hands as well to provide enhanced readability in the dark for activities such as running at night.

Running measurements to support training activities

The watch provides measurements of time, distance, average pace, and calories burned. An indicator at the 3 o’clock position displays exercise intensity in five stages. The included Auto Lap feature automatically keeps track of times over a set distance.

* Use the GPS functionality of a paired smartphone to adjust distance measurements. After adjustments are made, the watch can measure running distance more accurately, even without connecting to a smartphone.

Step tracker: Helpful in making a habit of daily exercise

Counts steps automatically when you start to walk. The LCD displays total daily steps, and the indicator at the 12 o’clock position shows progress toward goals. Workout data can be sent to a paired smartphone, where the app helps manage daily exercise logs.
