Taking the first-ever G-SHOCK, the DW-5000C, as its starting point, the full-metal GMW-BZ5000 presents a generative design that draws on over 40 years of shock-resistance data, leveraged in a co-creation process between human designers and AI. Now, this very special GMW-BZ5000RC elevates that conceptual and technological approach even further.
The metal center case features a gradient rainbow ion-plated (IP) finish symbolising the brand’s evolution. After applying a base layer of gold IP, the gradient rainbow IP is layered over it, in a two-step process that delivers striking depth and brilliance. Design elements including the rainbow vapor-deposited glass and gold IP front screws accentuate the futuristic structural beauty.
The watch’s highly original structure highlights the dimensional form of the center case while incorporating a resin internal protector to realise a full-metal construction, thereby maintaining the shock resistance that defines G-SHOCK.
State-of-the-art functionality is incorporated with a high-definition memory-in-pixel (MIP) LCD and features including Smartphone Link connectivity, Multiband 6 radio control, and Tough Solar charging. Crafted at Yamagata Casio, the “mother factory” where the first-ever G-SHOCK was made, and presented in special packaging, the watch symbolises the G-SHOCK spirit of innovation.
