The G-SHOCK MASTER OF G line embodies a passion for delivering performance in extreme conditions. The GRAVITYMASTER in particular has demonstrated ongoing innovation as a pilot’s watch designed to support missions in the sky.
To accelerate the pace of that evolution, the GWR-B3000 takes on the challenge of adapting toughness-oriented design to perform in an all-new domain. Guided by a single development concept — “Supersonic” — the watch draws inspiration from the astonishing performance of jets breaking through the sound barrier. The newly developed movement and tough construction elevate reliability and precision, ensuring dependable performance in the toughest environments.
At the heart of the timepiece is the newly developed TOUGH MVT.2 (Tough Movement 2) equipped with two special features: auto hand home position correction with shock detection, and magnetic field detection. The watch also employs a newly developed dual hollow case structure to deliver enhanced resistance to shock, centrifugal force, and vibration. These aviation-oriented specs are designed to ensure precision timekeeping in the most demanding cockpit situations.
The GRAVITYMASTER is driven by a passion for capturing the essence of the pilot’s watch, offering an instrument panel for the wrist that will never break, never stop, and never fail to keep precise time. Welcome to tireless determination to deliver ultimate toughness. Standing at the forefront of that challenge, the GWR-B3000 delivers the advanced performance it takes to break the toughness barrier and soar far beyond.
TOUGH MVT.2: An all-new pursuit of timekeeping precision
The further improved TOUGH MVT. (Tough Movement) delivers timekeeping with even greater precision.
Two new features have been added: auto hand home position correction with shock detection, and magnetic field detection. Auto hand home position correction with shock detection instantly detects impacts to the watch and corrects any hand misalignment. Accurate time display is maintained even when the watch is subjected to strong impacts in the cockpit. Magnetic field detection temporarily stops hand movement when the sensor detects a strong magnetic field. Once the magnetic field disappears, operation is resumed with accurate timekeeping.
Combining these two detection functions driven by advanced digital technologies with a movement featuring radio control, solar power, and Bluetooth® connectivity, the GWR-B3000 delivers durability and timekeeping precision as a genuine pilot’s watch. The timepiece maximises performance during demanding flight missions in extreme conditions.
An optimal solution for ultimate toughness
Triple G Resist, the GRAVITYMASTER line’s proud symbol, is a structure engineered to withstand three types of gravitational acceleration: shock, centrifugal force, and vibration. It has been reengineered with a brand-new exterior designed to help withstand impacts to each component.
The hollow structure, which has protected the movement from direct impact since the first G-SHOCK, is further strengthened with a dual inner and outer case design. Carbon fibre-reinforced resin delivering both strength and lightness is used for the inner case, while the outer case is constructed of stainless-steel protectors finished with metal injection molding (MIM) and shock absorbers made of resin.
The dual hollow case structure — composed of multiple components with complex shapes — was created using topology optimisation, a form of computer-aided engineering analysis. Extensive simulations were conducted to evaluate three types of stress: impact, centrifugal force, and vibration. Using advanced engineering techniques, each component’s shape was optimised to achieve an exterior design that balances durability with aesthetic appeal.
