While some purists might miss the classic Marlin logo from the older MDV106, the MDV107’s clean dial and case back are a massive win. The newfound simplicity actually streamlines the entire design, making an already iconic watch look incredibly sharp and modern.
At this price point, you aren't getting sapphire glass out of the box, but the value is still unmatched. My only real gripe was the tiny date window as i’s quite tough to read in daily wear, especially as a full-time glasses wearer.
To fix this, I had a third-party sapphire crystal with a cyclops lens installed. It completely solved the legibility issue and instantly elevated the watch's look.
I picked up the sleek all-black version, but this watch is so good that I’m already seriously tempted to grab the Batman and Pepsi variants to keep it company. If you're on the fence, just buy it! It's a legendary budget diver for a reason!
