Pro surfer and G-SHOCK ambassador Kanoa Igarashi returns with his fourth signature timepiece!

Inspired by the cliffs of Portugal, one of Igarashi’s home training bases, this latest collaboration features a two-colour bio-based resin bezel and band that complement everyday fashions. Accents in the lavender hues of the ocean at the magic hour that he loves so much are rendered in vapor deposition on the watch face.

Equipped with tide graph function, optical sensor to measure heart rate and analyze training sessions, and high-definition, high-contrast memory-in-pixel (MIP) LCD for outstanding readability even in direct sunlight and under water, this special timepiece delivers all you need not just for ocean fun, but running, walking, and other daily workouts, as well.

Thanks to a case back made of carbon fiber-reinforced resin, the watch is about 18 grams lighter than the previous model with built-in heart rate monitor (DW-H5600), for a truly comfortable feel and fit even at your most active.

With Igarashi’s signature throughout, as well as the number 50, his surfer number in the world’s ultimate pro-surfing series, this impressively detailed design is sure to inspire the intrepid ocean-goer in you.

International pro surfer Kanoa Igarashi’s fourth signature model

Introducing the fourth signature model from pro surfer Kanoa Igarashi, who is a mainstay in the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour, the world’s ultimate pro-surfing series. Based on the G-LIDE GBX-H5600 with heart rate monitor, this signature watch boasts a mixed-colour bio-based resin bezel and band inspired by cliffs in Portugal, one of the surfer’s home and training bases — plus a special design adorned in places with Igarashi’s signature.

Colour scheme inspired by Portuguese sea cliffs

Mixed-colour moulding in brown tones expresses landscapes from Portugal — one of Igarashi’s home and training bases — such as the cliffs and rocky shores surrounding the renowned surf destination of Ericeira. Combined with a tide graph depicting ocean waves, this achieves a design befitting a G-LIDE. An accent colour of purple evokes the “magic hours” of early morning and twilight when the sky appears to be painted colourfully.

Design details imbued with Igarashi’s individual identity

Igarashi’s signature is incorporated into the design on the watch face and case back, and Igarashi’s surfer number, 50, adorns the band — special design features for a collaboration model emphasising the connection between surfers and G-SHOCK.

Diverse functions to support athletic use

Based on the GBX-H5600, the watch is equipped with a heart rate monitor and accelerometer to provide measurement functions that support four different activities, along with a tide graph, moon data, and more. The MIP LCD provides high-definition display of diverse measurement data. Training and sleep analysis powered by Polar’s algorithms is included as well. A watch equipped to support intense use day after day.

Smartphone Link

Smartphone pairing via Bluetooth® delivers automatic time correction and makes it easy to configure tide graph settings from the app. Tracked data can also be sent to a paired smartphone and checked in training logs and life logs. Detailed training and sleep analysis data and more can be reviewed as well.
